Mexico are competing in their eighth World Cup in a row and are set to face Argentina in Group C.
The Central American side have qualified for the last 16 in each of their last seven appearances in FIFA's showpiece event.
However, they will face two of the world's best players in, Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski, this winter so it won't be easy for them to get through, but they do seem to come alive at these tournaments.
And as they take part in the World Cup, supporters around the world are likely to notice something during the national anthems.
The whole team stand together to make a defiant gesture that might look odd to anyone else.

This gesture is known as the saludo a la bandera, which means 'salute to the flag' in English.
Mexicans use this as a chance to pay respects to their country.
However, it is also included in Mexican law - specifically for sporting events.
Article 14 within Mexican law states: "The civil salute to the Mexican Flag will be done in a straight position, putting the right hand extended over the breast, with the palm facing down to where the heart is located. The male people will salute the flag with the head uncovered."
So there's a very good reason behind the salute and it certainly makes for compelling viewing any time Mexico take to the field in this World Cup.
